This story went in a slightly different in Rivera Prostitute. A little less magic, but still the same amount of exotic in Rivera Prostitute After all, part of the book takes place in the brothel.

Reading this book you are taking into another world for a few hours. Despite featuring a lot of sensuality, the book really isn't what you would think.

At its core of this book is a story of Marisol who is trying to figure out life as best as she knows how naive in some ways and incredibly smart in other ways.

The author is able to beautifully display this dichotomy of maturity and immaturity in a simple story that has quite a few unexpected twists and turns. Based on the title, I thought I knew what the book was going to be about, but it ended up being in Rivera Prostitute totally different.

I LOVE that in a book. One person found this helpful. Marisol Rivera's story is picked up artfully in this novella, building on the storyline from Los Chocolates de Esperanza In Rivera Prostitute. There's just enough tone of Gabriel Garcia Marquez to recall Memoria de Mis Putas Tristes, but Soto brings something new to the table, and it's great reading.

I'm looking forward to more in in Rivera Prostitute series, and the author's forthcoming memoir.

I really liked this book. Even though this is the first book I've read 2 in the seriesI wasn't confused about in Rivera Prostitute previously introduced characters from the first story. Instead, I'm looking forward to reading more about where these characters came from and where they're going. The main characters come off larger than life, and not in any specific extroadinary way, but with details that set them apart from the rest in Rivera Prostitute their world.

I could almost envision this story as an artistic cartoon, if cartoons about prostitutes were ever made lol. This was an enjoyable read and I look forward to the rest of the series! You know of Pilar's fate and the end of Pierre's career as a soldier but what you don't know is the story of the whore, Marisol Rivera.
